A proliferation of short poems by Martyn Foster.
What you’ll find hereafter is six independent four-lined poems which I scribbled at various times in recent months as a part of what I like to call “Morning Café Musings”, please enjoy.
The ones I liked best were the third and last ones, but let me know which you like best.
Brain like a runaway train
A rollercoaster ride of pain
Spraying bullets in the dark
Hoping to hit its mark
Tired eyes, tired mind
A burden too big to bare
Staring into the abyss
The soul wanders into The Devil’s lair
Living in a world of one
A desert island of the mind
Is this a result of my own doing?
Seek and you shall find
Free as a bird, enslaved as a human
Is the bird really free? He knows nothing else
A branch here, a crumb there
All in the pursuit of good health
The weight of the world on your shoulders
But “the world is not enough”
The melancholia of someone
Whose inner world is boundless
What does it mean to love someone?
Communication takes on other levels
Duality is always secretly unity
Entwined forever, the red and white rose petals
I hope you have enjoyed reading this collection of short poetry, please feel free to check out my other poetry linked below:
